THE WINERY, BODEGAS ROBLES AWARDED AS “THE BEST ORGANIC COMPANY IN SPAIN”.

The Spanish Ministry of Environment, Cristina Narbona, and the Andalucia’s Regional Minister of Agriculture, Isaias Perez Saldaña, honoured BODEGAS ROBLES as the “best company producer in the Spanish Market” in the second edition of the “Ecogourmet Prizes for Organic Food”.

“The Ecogourmet Prizes for Organic Food” are given during the XX Salón Internacional del Club de Gourmets, the Spanish annual gourmet fair, an International exhibition that is considered as the leading European event for the sector and the third largest in the world. It is dedicated to quality food and drink products and is exclusively for trade visitors.

These prizes are sponsored by “Fundación Biodiversidad”, a non-profit making nature foundational organization, whose activities focus on the field of conservation, survey and sustainable use of biodiversity and international development cooperation. Other sponsors are the Spanish Ministry of Environment; The Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food; and the Sociedad Española de Agricultura Ecológica (Spanish Society of Organic Farming).

The Ecogourmet Prizes award companies, people and organisations that promote organic farming, standing out the work of Bodegas Robles in the Spanish market with their organic wine range: PIEDRA LUENGA. The fast introduction of PIEDRA LUENGA in the Spanish market is largely due to their high quality - repeatedly recognized by the best National and International wine awards (in most of them competing with conventional wines) – and exclusivity, as they are the only range of certified organic “generosos” wines in the world: Fino, Pedro Ximenez, Pale Cream, Red and White wines).

This award also recognizes the excellent environmental management of the wineries, Bodegas Robles as well as its determination to make of the environment the key of its business activity.
